Cheaper than buying boxes, and far less hassle
A full set of new boxes, tape, a tape gun, bubble wrap and paper can easily reach £150 to £220 for a 2-bedroom move, and you still fold every box and haul them to the tip. Our 2-bedroom crate hire is £119, all in, with 40 crates, a dolly, delivery and collection, and nothing to throw away.

Good to know
- Are these cardboard boxes?
- No, and that's the point. Instead of buying cardboard boxes you fold, tape and throw away, you hire sturdy reusable plastic crates. We deliver them, you pack, and we collect them after your move.
- How many crates do I need?
- It depends on your home size. A studio is around 20 crates and a large family home up to 100. Our packages are sized per home (see the table above), or use the crate calculator for an exact number. Need a few more than your package includes? You can add extra crates for £3 each, easily done.
- How much do moving boxes cost to hire?
- Crate hire starts at £79 for a studio move and includes the crates, a dolly, and free delivery and collection. There's no VAT to add and no deposit.
- Do you deliver to my area?
- We deliver and collect free across a 30-mile radius of Sudbury, covering Suffolk and north Essex including Colchester, Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds, Braintree and Haverhill.
- How long can I keep them?
- The standard hire is 2 weeks, with a 4-week option at checkout. If your move slips, just get in touch and we'll extend it.
